Re: Hallo, is there someone who can help me work in Dreamweaver cs6 design view?
CRUD = Create, Retrieve, Update, Delete, the four major operations of working with a database.
Re: Hallo, is there someone who can help me work in Dreamweaver cs6 design view?
You've already received some answers to your original question. What they don't really tell you (because this issue has been discussed ad nauseam before) is that you're wasting your time trying to work with the PHP server behaviors in Dreamweaver CS6. As both Nancy and Ben have mentioned, they're deprecated. In plain language that means they're completely out of date. In fact, they were removed from Dreamweaver CC more than two years ago.
Why were they removed?
They use code that no longer works in the current version of PHP (PHP 7). Even if your website still uses PHP 5, building any web pages using the Dreamweaver server behaviors will stop working as soon as your hosting company switches to PHP 7. Adobe has not announced any plans to update the server behaviors to work with PHP 7. Even if they did, they would not work with Dreamweaver CS6, which will never be updated.
There are commercial extensions available for Dreamweaver that are capable of generating up-to-date code. You can find them by searching for DMXZone and WebAssist. The alternative is to learn how to write the code yourself. There are lots of free resources online, but you need to make sure that you follow tutorials that use either MySQL Improved (MySQLi) or PDO. Do not use any tutorials that use PHP functions that begin with mysql_. Learning how to write PHP code isn't difficult, but it's a big subject. I've created a lot of PHP video tutorials for lynda.com (not free, but you can get a 10-day free trial), as well as book called PHP Solutions. There are plenty of other resources out there if you search for them. If you need help with specific issues, you'll find people here wiling to help you, but you'll also need to do a bit of self-help.
Re: mysqli / php random data?
Correct!
Re: Hallo, is there someone who can help me work in Dreamweaver cs6 design view?
The OP thinks they can build advanced web apps with DW's Design View. As you & I know, that's not possible. Even if you have all the right tools, you must have a working knowledge of code: HTML, PHP, JavaScript and MySQL data. In an another related thread, I suggested the OP try WordPress but that was met with "too complicated" .

I don't understand the problem.
I'm in process of setting up a new computer, too.
Right now, I'm copying my local site folders to a removable drive which I will then copy to my new PC. Have you done that yet?
Have you defined your DW local site folder on the new PC?

Frontpage Extensions
I downloaded Dreamweaver Trial Version. I had worked with MS Expression Web for years and even before that when it was FrontPage. I have always been self-taught. For months I have had lots of problems working with MS EW.
So I uploaded all my files to Dreamweaver trial version so I can test it. Truthfully I am totally beyond learning new stuff, but I have a community website I still do, called Doorsof hope.com.
I am hoping that after I have setup my design/site on Dreamweaver it will no long need Frontpage Extensions with my hosting service provider.
Currently my hosting server is set with FrontPage Extensions. Does anyone know if I asked my hosting service provider to set my site to .ftp, would I be able to upload from Dreamweaver to my server?
How can I create and attractive form like this?
At my work we buy lots of computers (as in an auction for a lot of computers) which when are all checked out. We currently have a checklist printed off where the tech goes down and checks off what works, what doesn't work, may put a brief description in, write what condition it is in (Grade A, B, C) etc.
Then that form is taped to the computer. I think creating a form that can look the exact same or similar (it looks fine) but instead saves all of the info in to a database would be much better. I know how to use a form to save data in to a database and extract the info and edit the info etc but when it comes to creating the forms, I suck. I can create forms but nothing nice looking.
Does anyone know of any tutorials or anything that can help me? I don't have an example of the form I am trying to duplicate with me but will take a picture of one tomorrow or screenshot it (I believe it was created using Word or a similar program).
It is 2 columns with basically checklist going down each side (there are a few fields where they may have to write in info like the Model and the Serial Number).
I want to recreate this form (looking basically the same or better) and have the info saved in to a database where we can then go search by serial number. The adding to a database and searching the database is no problem. I just need to be able to create an attractive checklist/form.
Re: How can I create and attractive form like this?
Post an image or screenshot of what your form looks like. Don't use email, it won't come through. You must use the web forum's camera icon to post an image.

Re: Frontpage Extensions
FP hasn't been developed since 2006. I would be very surprised if your web host still supports Front Page extensions but give 'em a call.

Re: Frontpage Extensions
Interestingly Telus Hosting still has FrontPage Extensions. I am assuming if I upload all my files to Dreamweaver, without any common borders Frontpage used to have, I could upload to .ftp
Ridiculously slow
Why does it take Dreamweaver two minutes to connect with my website and display both local and remote file lists when Transmit can do the same thing in about 5 seconds.
Is there any hope of Adobe developing a Dreamweaver Light for those of us who don't need or want some features? I like Dreamweaver most of the time but it's so slow I often use Transmit to get little jobs done. I've often connected, uploaded and closed it down again before Dreamweaver has even connected.

Yep, it's called Brackets
How to make pictures the same size on carousel
I am using bootstrap to have three images appear in a carousel. My problem is having them all stay the same size. I don't want the image to push down the content that is under. An example is that the content will show under pic for first pic but then go under the fold on second pic due to the size of image. I tried to get on photo shop to adjust the size but I get the same issue.
Re: How to make pictures the same size on carousel
Please supply a link to the site so that we do not have to guess for a solution to your problem.
Re: Ridiculously slow
Thanks-- I'll check it out!
